Hello every one,
My goodness when I look at the date of my last post I realise just how long ago it was. It has been very hectic here for a while but I can now see light at the end of the tunnel.
I would like to welcome my new followers and I have notice I now have hit 100 so I will be preparing a give away shortly just as soon as the holidays hit next week. This weekend was the first one in a while I have had a chance to play with my miniatures. As you can see from the photo I have finally finnished my kitchen except for one little painting I would like on my shelf. I took a quick snap so you could see that after many frustrations I have completed the range hood lighting I had so much trouble with. The difficulty was working out how to get access to the bulb without effecting the out side wall. Both the flue and the hood are completely removable in case of any problems and I am so glad I have that access as just as I was about to take the photo the light went out due to a loose bulb. A quick bang on the wall fixed that......; ) but I will be able to remove the hood and tighten the bulb YAY!!
Next week should give me a bit more time to take photos of all aspects of the kitchen and some very special miniatures I received in the mail this week, I can't wait to show you.
Until then happy minis every one and apologies for not keeping up with every ones blogs I promise I will make up for it shortly.
Much Love, Fi xx

Hi honey
ReplyDeleteI love this kitchen, it's so cosy in that pink colour (it is pink right?). Well done with the lighting, I get to a point where I cant think how to resolve electrics, so don't bother! I love all the pots and pans etc. It's a really lovely room, well done xx
Hi Si,
DeleteYou got through the blogsphere and your comment worked. YAY!!
I'm glad you like it my darling but I must tell you it is all white, white, white, it is Just the warm glow of the light that makes it look pink. You know some how I got a bee in my bonnet about having a light in the range and i couldn't give up on it. Once i decide on something I can't let it go!
I'm glad you like it.

The kitchen looks lovely and I want to see more of it! Well done too on solving the lighting dilema. I think the lighting gives me more grief than anything else and it's so satisfying to solve an issue with it. It's good to see you back to mini-ing again too.
ReplyDeleteHi Irene,
DeleteI just couldn't let it beat me, I think thats why it took me so long to do it, I am happy with the result and pleased I persisted. Next room wont take so long I hope!!

I love range hood lights in a mini kitchen - it always makes for lovely pictures. :D
ReplyDeleteOh me too, I have to admit that I was inspired by Linda Carswells image of the same.It does give a nice lived in feeling.

Hello Fi,
ReplyDeleteI dare anyone to looka t that picture and not think it's real life size. What a terrific job! It may have been difficult to figure out the hood, but it was sO WORTH it...it looks wonderful. I can't wait to see more pictures. Welcome back to the blogosphere...we missed you.
Big hug,
Giac
Thanks Giac,
DeleteI am so glad I worked it out in the end, now i can get on with the other rooms that i hope wont take so long. I'm glad I'm back in it too, i do love it so much and i miss you all when i'm gone.

Hi dear Fi! Welcome back in the blogosphere, my friend! It was difficult with the lightening of the hood, but you fixed it very well, because your kitchen looks so cozy now :D!! It looks like a real one, really it does! You've photographed it very well too.
ReplyDeleteML Ilona
Hello my dear Friend,
ReplyDeleteYes, whilst it was frustrating at times I'm glad i worked it out, I nearly gave up on it a few times but I hate that feeling of defeat! I think it looks like a nice place to have breakfast, i think some chairs would work well, haha!!

At first glance, I thought this was your 1:1 kitchen! Wow.
ReplyDeleteHi Anna, thanks, I'm glad you like it.
ReplyDeleteFi x
A lovely kitchen Fi! I wouldn't mind one like this in full scale.
ReplyDeleteI fully agree with you on keeping you lights accessible, I can't think of anything more frustrating than when you'd have to break something down in the dolls house first in order to repair something else!
Haha Josje,
Deletenow I understand the full meaning of your comment. Having to pull apart your beautiful room must have been torture!!
I'm glad you like the kitchen though.

Hi Fi!!
ReplyDeletebetter late than never, so here goes!
WOW! it looks great, I love all those little details, I know you have had little time to do your miniatures recently, but that doesn't show here, looks so good! I remember all the problems you had with the hood light too, but it was worth the struggle as it really works well! Can't wait to see more!!!
The clock is nice too, and a nice way to remember your mother! ;)
Much love
Andy xxxx
Hi Andy,
Deletehopefully I will have a better picture of the clock soon, I'm glad you like it. Jay has just finished his last folio and handed it in today, now it's just revision till exams so things should be a little more relaxed for a while, so watch out miniatures here I come!!!!!
Paul is off to the footy tomorrow and he said to me tonight, tomorrow I think it's a day for your dollies.........hehe...; )
